My Desire

I am a follower of the life and teaching’s of Jesus. Christ tells me to follow Him with my heart first so my hands and feet can become a teacher of what true discipleship looks like for the Church and the Nations. I love that Jesus took the time to build a relationship with people so they could become disciples who advance the ideals of the Kingdom of Heaven instead of worldly or cultural ideals.

My hope is to see the Body of Christ become followers of the teaching’s of Jesus once again. In so returning to the place of submission to His will alone, I believe the world will come into contact with the purely intimate love of Christ. The true Church of Jesus Christ – those who follow the gospel (The Way) – was established as a beacon of hope for a broken world.

The Church Letters was designed to become a space of loving correction and discipleship for the Body of Christ while offering a welcome refuge of learning to the searching world.

What does all this mean?

Being part of the Church means I am a living person who is part of something much larger than myself. My response to Jesus’ love means I should want to live out what He taught while here on earth; in accordance with the Holy Scriptures as my guide. This means change should start with me first so I can help others (inside or outside the church) move into the deepest understanding of what it means to have a relationship with God. When you get to know Jesus you realize your whole life should be walking out His principles to all those around you, no matter where you find yourself. This mindset of being a walking disciple who carries the gospel of Jesus to everyone should be the ultimate desire of His Church.

The reality of God’s command to disciple is what drove me to create this space so that we – His Church – can examine and experience what it means to be discipled by Christ alone. As we accomplish this, we will be able to carry out the command of making disciples of all nations while multiplying gospel belief in the process.

About Me

I grew up in rural Indiana, near farm country, then migrated to the Carolina’s in my college years. I love anything and everything that has to do with water or the great outdoors. I have grown to love exploration of creation (travel). It helps me find joy in talking with Jesus when I get to marvel at all He has created for humanity. I am truly enjoying where God has currently stationed me to live out the example of His love working in the world of automotive supply chain manufacturing.

Countries I have visited are Mexico, Guatemala, and Jamaica ‘mon. I hope the list will grow larger very soon post COVID-19.

My hobbies include, but are not limited to the following:

• Reading books on different theological schools of thought.
• Reading, watching, and listening to anything leadership or business strategy.
• Anything science fiction I will be there.
• Everything Marvel, Harry Potter, and Hunger Games.
• Call of Duty when I need to release my inner warrior. (PS4 until I die)
• Hiking a mountain trail or white water rafting are two events I love.
• Fixing things is manly and building things is best when done without instructions.
• Grill Master: don’t mess with the seasoning.
• Classic Car Shows. Any car show will do nicely.
• Tennis | Running | Basketball | Biking
• Discipling teenagers at my local church.
• Anything finance/investing strategy I love.
• Sarcastic meme wars with my siblings. Emphasis on wars.
